Tis the season….for family summer vacations!

June 14th, 2012

Check out a few of these packing suggestions:

1.  Create a “Master List” of items you would like to pack; with quantities you will need.  If you so like, you could have this laminated for future vacations; making the check off process easy breezy!  By creating lists you have a better chance of not forgetting to pack an item.

2.  If you have small children, using this idea of putting one outfit (including socks, undies and hair accessories) into a gallon Ziploc.  One bag per day.  This will make traveling to your location and unpacking more manageable.  Plus, the convenience of this preparation allows your child to grab everything they need to get themselves dressed.  What a time saver!

3.  If your child(ren) wants an activity bag, make sure it is something they can carry and has items to keep them occupied for the duration of the flight or car ride.  Consider car games, headphones, books, notepad and crayons, snack, water cup, etc.

4.  Have a folder created for your trip that contains itinerary, flight details, hotel information, car rental, directions, etc.  Put this in your outside pocket of your carry-on bag, making it easy to retrieve.

Enjoy your vacation!!
